Adrian’s theatrical designs have won a Carbonell award in Miami Florida for Anna in the Tropics (dir: Nilo Cruz), a Connecticut Critic’s Circle Award for The Dazzle (dir: Rob Ruggiero), and two Kevin Kline Award nominations in St. Louis for Take Me Out (Dir: Rob Ruggiero) and Pillowman (dir: Steve Woolf). Other theatrical designs include nine shows with the Obie Award winning Synapse Productions, in addition to New York Stage and Film, The New Group, The New York Public Theater, Barrington Stage Company, Nicolas Leichter Dance, Target Margin Theater, and the Yale Repertory Theater. Outside of the theater world Adrian’s entry for “Designing the Highline” won a Jury selection, and was published in Surface Magazine. His installation work includes Return with Julia Mandle Performance, and kiosk design for Peter Stuyvesant’s Ghost, with Lise Brenner and Edmund Mooney. Born in New York City Adrian holds a BA from Occidental College, and a MFA from the Yale School of Drama.
